This guide covers v2 of the Address Validation API. This version offers improved features and functionality.
While the v1 of the Address Validation API remains functional and available, we are planning to sunset this version at a future date. We highly recommend transitioning to v2 to take advantage of the latest features and to ensure uninterrupted service. However, if you currently have specific needs that require using v1, rest assured it will remain operational for the time being.

The Address Validation API analyzes addresses to ensure accuracy and reliability. It provides a classification to each address that reflects its quality and checks for inconsistencies like mismatches between the state, city, and pin code. The API also verifies the address's localizability based on LocateOne's logistical parameters and distinguishes between Residential/Commercial and Rural/Urban locations, providing valuable insights.
The Address Validation API offers several use cases across different industries. Understanding these scenarios will help developers tailor their integration process to meet the specific needs of their applications. Here are two primary use cases:
Improves logistics efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring accurate address data.

Challenges Addressed:
- Address Completeness: Ensures that addresses collected from potential customers are not junk or incomplete.
- Agent Efficiency: Facilitates better on-ground efficiency for verification or collection agents by providing them with accurate location data.
